Hey, I’m Amy. My husband Seamus and I have been together since we were 16 and 17. We had our first son, Joseph, when I was just 17 years old. Hannah followed when I was 21. We thought we were done: We both had jobs we loved, got married in December 2014, bought a house, and felt settled. Don’t get me wrong, we have found it hard. We struggled as we watched as all our friends partying and travelling the world and promised ourselves we would “posh travel” when the kids were older and went off to uni. Someone had other ideas because along came Matilda, with her special extra chromosome, in July 2020. 2020 was the craziest year for most people but she was a blessing to us and now we are one of the lucky few. Our travelling plans still remain but Matilda will just come on our adventures too.
